A Story of Abuse and Redemption
From Beneath the Tarp is a true story of one woman’s journey through the realities of domestic violence. Although an innocent childhood supplanted a healthy self-esteem, the betrayal of a traumatic marriage launched her into a world she never knew existed. The cycle of violence is detailed in this story of courage and renewal. In the end, this is a story about hope, and hope never disappoints.
Susan is a nurse and currently teaches at Nicolet College. She is this year’s winner of
“The Governor's Council on Domestic Violence Courage Award”
Also joining us will be staff and members from EMBRACE (formerly Time Out Abuse Shelter) to provide information on services available.
The evening is dedicated in loving memory of Darlene Lazar
